Year 6 Residential

Buckden House November 2005

My first impressions of Buckden House were, it had a huge garden witha tree you could abseil down. it looked so old a and beautiful and the low ropes at the bottom looked so cool! I could see a climbing wall and thought "yes" because I love climbing. I was really excited about what we were going to do each day.

Caving was wet and muddy but absolutly brilliant! It was the best bit of the residential because well it was a fundamental

experience !

I had nine lives to get round the low ropes course without touching the ground. By Fionna

It was even harder when we were tied together!

We had to climb through the barrels head-first. It was not easy!

We had to wear helmets for all adventurous activities.

It was freezing cold in the cave. Here we are sharing a warm drink and having a rest from exploring!

Archery was great fun even in the pouring rain. Some of us managed to score a gold.

Ready, steady ....... FIRE!!!

We had to learn how to work together as a team. Here we are getting ready for a race down the hill!

The drop-off walk was our least favourite activity. Some of us found the five mile walk downhill a little strenous!

I found this horn in the field. It was the first horn I have ever held. By Shawn

We found a fossil in a puddle. We couldn't get it out so we had to give up! by Fionna and Jasmine

Talk to the hand..........

Aaaargh... It's a long way down!
